I have the tv in my basement and the picture is just awesome. It does not have many hdmi ports which is no big deal, I run all my hdmi's thru my receiver which works perfect. I got the roku 3 now its a smart tv lol! One nice perk is the stand looks pretty cool set up and it does swivel if that helps. There is a reason plasma tvs are the highest rated tvs every year better get this before they are gone, great deal for 799.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have both the roku 3 and the stick, I'd save $50 and get the stick unless the better remote is for you.

No directions? The touch screen is very sensitive, hard to get what you touch on first time. For the money it should respond better and come with a whole list of its capabilities.

future repairs after plasma production stops

I am thinking about purchasing a Samsung plasma. What will happen if it needs repairs in the future if plasma is obsolete? I plan on getting a 5 year protection plan. I would like the tv to last longer. Will the parts needed to repair be old cast-off materials and why is production stopping?
I purchased the 5 yr also, probably dont need it but it was for peace of mind. The parts will have to be compliant with samsung specs im assuming. Plasmas cost too much to produce and they cant be made any smaller than around 40", and im told they cant produce resolution above 1080.

Do you still need a wifi carrier to have roku, or can you sign up for wifi through roku?

You need wifi.

The plugs keep falling off with minimal tension (such as moving the wire). There is really nothing to hold them on. Is there a a minimum guage wire to use?
They are difficult to connect, the secret is to get the wire to twist on the prong. Not to much not to little. It took me several attempts but when it gets 'twisted' right there will no play.
