What's great about it: Ease of use.
I installed it and it went in easy. It holds my TV great. I look at it all the time. The instructions were clear. The color is perfect.

Is the unit a universal fit or does it require studs to be 16" or 24' on center studs?

It is universal because you can use drywall screws to install. Put it in one stud and drywall the other.
