I would consider this a directional antennae. Replaced my old flat amplified rca with this one. I lost several channels but still have the primary one. This antenna is ok but I wouldn't buy it again due to the limited range in all directions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is this a multi directional antenna ?

The hdtv antenna suggested for my area has a color code of yellow
which is a small multi-directional antenna.
1) Is this antenna multi-directional ?
2) Is it amplified?
3)Does anyone know the color code of this antenna by chance?

1. Sort of. You get good distance from the front of the unit but its capability falls short from the back. That's why I say sort of. The range is far less receiving signals from the back, if at all.
