Originally I was using a A/V head unit with multiple HDMI, took up a lot of space. This Unit is very compact and efficient, and connected to Soundbar is very space saving over my original A/V set up.

Is it possible to purchase just the USB receiver if it was misplaced? Thank you!
My experience with this is that Logitech used to sell individual receiver, however you could also use the receiver from another logitech mouse, it requires a driver download from the website that allows all logitech mice to connect through the receiver. Alternatively, you maybe able to find the receiver piece being sold at Best Buy, or can try a generic receiver that works with the logitech driver.
