Have you kept up with the updates for the router? Yes, you can change the settings regarding interference & password blocking. You'll have to go into the settings & take a few minutes to adjust it to your liking, even utilize the timers for devices you don't use often, but want to keep connected. I have everything locked down so the neighboring businesses, & other poachers cannot even detect the device. After doing all of that try to reconnect your laptop & see if you have any luck. Also, & this might sound redundant, but changing your passwords & admin passwords every 3 months is something I make a habit of... Hope this helps.

Yes, we had the same experience with AT&T. This works fine for a household or small office. It's also more cost effective if you add up the monthly charges & taxes AT&T & their competitors tack on in the end. Hope this helps.
