Quickly input commands with this Logitech M510 mouse that features laser technology for precision tracking on most surfaces. The Logitech unifying receiver allows simple wireless connectivity.

The flat ones just don't feel right

I bought this mouse for my laptop after using the flat mouse that you can more easily transport around in your laptop bag. Even after 3 weeks of using the portable mouse it just never felt right in my hand. My laptop stays on my desk primarily so I opted for the bigger more comfortable mouse and gave the flat mouse to my wife for her tablet. This mouse will be harder to transport but that won't be happening enough to justify the awkwardness of the flat mouse.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can just the USB for the M510 Wireless Laser Mouse be purchased.

I would say NO because I believe that they are linked to the product they came with. I bought two wireless mouse's (mice didn't seem right) and they only work with the plug they came with and will not interfere with each other.
