I purchased this semi pro camera as a kit with an excellent Nikon 18-140 lens, a Lowepro 160 bag, a 16GB SDHC card, and a free Shutterfly 8 X 8 Photo Book at a great price.
My first impression was it's small. Coming from a D200 it is about 1/4 smaller, but with a little time and use I got used to the size. Small is not a bad thing when your out and about. Yes there are better current cameras out there but at 649 d-ollar-s for the above kit it was hard to ignore.
Remember there are newer models that cost Much more. I am comparing this to the D200, which is a pro level camera, just outdated. Check out the reviews on the D7000, very favorable, even by todays standards.
The low light abilities are awesome, Get yourself Topaz Noise and the night is pretty much yours to use as you please. There are many bells and whistles settings to play with. For a quick insight into the how and why check out Ken Rockwell's User Setting Guide. It will, at the least, get you started with a much better understanding of the settings, then set as you please for your various situations.
The movie side works pretty darn well IMHO even in low light. It is NOT a dedicated video recorder and I haven't used it that much but day light videos of a blizzard were very good and the subsequent midnight snow removal was very usable. So for me it's ok and an asset to the camera's versatility.
I am very pleased with this camera!
Do your research.
BTW free home delivery in 2 business days, maybe luck of the draw but still impressive.

What's great about it: It fits. It's canon and it doesn't leak
What's not so great: Nothing
What's to say, it does what it is supposed to do in the correct printer and it's made by Canon.

What's great about it: The fast side lasted for nearly 3 years of long daily gaming. It's big.

I use this with my Logitec gaming G780 mouse and it is tough to have held up as long as it did with the usage I put it through! It likely would have lasted longer if I had changed the mouse feet sooner. I am using the Accuracy side now and that is A-ok for gaming too, such as BF3 or BF4. This review was offered to me because I bought the same pad, again from BB, at a very reduced clearance price so I should be good for another 8-9 years.
Just google it and see the reviews etc.

What's great about it: Decent price at a local BB store = Convience
What's not so great: None yet
I have used this UPS for several months with no problems. That said I haven't had the need for it to provide power. I've used all brands of UPS and currently this is he best brand, IMHO. It has more than enough power to run my computer with 750Watt PSU, GTX780, i5 3570K OCed, & monitor. during tests for far more time than I need to shut down, 16 minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Materials

I noticed that the pad was made out of anodized aluminum, but I was wondering what the black finish over top the aluminum was.
I think it is Teflon. It is very tough what ever it is. The speed side is very slick and the control side is just a bit dimpled and so slower but with more control. Both will work for FPS gaming, you just get used to them.
