I got the 3rd generation Xbox controller. This adds a bluetooth connection. Which is nice if you use Linux or want to connect it to any device with a bluetooth. It is a good feeling controller.

Well, I got this in the goal of trying the GameFly Streaming....don't get it. You need some random controller or use your phone. I chose the Xbox Controller, which didn't work. I can control FireTV with it. The GameFly streaming applications can't. But overall, I like the nature of the FireTV. It's simple, easy to watch what you want.

Yes, it is preferred to use a phone charger with micro usb. That way you don't have to keep the laptop on or enable usb during sleep mode.
