We purchased this docking station to run two 27inch HD ASUS Monitors with our Surface Pro 4 (HDMI mini to HDMI hookup). The docking station is small, efficent and has enough power to run two 4K monitors. The asthetics are pleasing on the glass desk. We are impressed with the performace of this device. Best Buy price matched Amazon on this product which made it even better. Excellent purchase.

how far away can you be from a sound and still be able to pick it up clearly
It deepens on what kind of sound you want to get. If you using the sound for a professional video I would stay within 5 to 6 feet or closer with a boom-stick. Anything further and the sound quality diminishes. You can certainly stand farther away but the sound quality drops off. Try to keep your levels between -6dbs and -12dbs
