Works as advertised. Touch the ring to lock or unlock the door. no ket required. Highly recommend to all.

How hard is it to Install? Are there special things needed to switch out from a normal door lock to this?

Install is no harder than a standard lock. Takes a minute to calibrate fob.

Can you lock it by touching the outside ring when you leave the house?

Yes, That's the one reason I bought it. It flashes orange when the door locks and green when it unlocks. There's also an LED on the inside that flashes red or green to indicate status.
