Although the film tends to suffer from a severe case of overt preachiness in the third reel (shades of James Cameron's "The Abyss"), it's still a wonderfully visual, exciting ride.

There's so much to love about this set. Having the movies in high-def is worth the price of admission alone. But toss in a few new extras, some exclusives and the original goodies and you've got one serious Blu-ray presentation that comes highly recommended.

This was the role that Ryan Reynolds was born to play. All other incantations of this character in ANY other movie, PALE in comparison. That abomination they made in the Wolverine movie was ridiculously done. (Whoever decided to play it like that should have been hung up by the wobblie's). Ryan Reynolds depiction of Deadpool was dead on to what those of us who have followed the character in the comic books and games have come to expect. The opening credits alone were priceless.
The fact that Deadpool constantly referred to the directors and acted as if he was on a film set followed the character to the "T".
If your a fan of Marvel movies and are looking for a great family movie to see, Look Somewhere else.
If you are like me and love a film full of wise cracks, explosions, and nudity. Get the popcorn ready, open a good can of pop. and have a seat for a great film.
Oh, an to the guy that took his kids to see Deadpool, YOUR PARENTS SHOULD HAVE EATEN YOU AT BIRTH! Its An 'R' Rated Film! What Part Of That Did You Miss?!

This is my first review ever, so bear with me.
First off, this is an awesome product. Second off, if you're expecting to get a smooth, crystal clear video that looks like the videos of someone surfing, that's not going to happen. Dogs shake, then run, they jump, they bounce... they do a lot of things that make the camera shake.
That being said, a dog of about 40 pounds with a wider back would be perfect for this. Mine is about 25 pounds and it ALMOST fits him perfectly. I have to tighten the straps a lot and take off the chest plate but it stays on very well and it comfortable for him. Until he starts shaking like all dogs too, the camera stays pretty tightly on his back. If your dog can be off leash, this is a MUCH BETTER product. If your dog needs to stay on leash, you're almost always going to be pulling his collar causing the camera to slide to the side on your dogs back.
The video is excellent, as it all go pro videos. Be prepared to adjust the straps every time your dog runs and turns too quickly causing the camera to slide off their back.
I realize this isn't a perfect product, and for a second round, I'd suggest building the mount about 3 inches higher to get above the dogs head. Aside from that, you can get some GREAT videos from this. You can't use the chest mount if you have a small dog, it's too bulky for the dog and they'll just mess with it. A lot of fun footage with this toy!

Okay, having watched Episode VII in the theater back in December like everyone else for the most part, I really enjoyed the movie. I have been a long time fan ever since the beginning on May 25, 1977. Today, I bought the Limited Steelbook Edition from another retailer. I found the packaging very well done and much like the recent steelbook editions for I - VI.
You get all the formats in one package, 1 DVD edition of the movie located on left side when you open it, 2 Blu-rays on right side. One is the film, the other is the Special Features or Bonus Features, then the digital download copy insert.
The Blu-ray looks fantastic on the Ultra 4K 65"! The sound is awesome at English 7.1 DTS HD, plus other languages at 5.1 DTS HD.
**The following may contain "spoilers" if you have not seen it by now **
It is basically 30 years after the Battle of Endor and remnants of the Old Empire have regrouped and formed "The First Order".
Luke is in hiding and the "Resistance" is led by General Leia among others. A new "enemy" has emerged as well for the "Dark Side", Kylo Ren, but he is no Sith, not yet anyway. Old favorites are back from the original series as well as the droids from all 6 prior movies. A new droid makes it's appearance, BB-8 and is really a good character. "Rey", a scavenger, may just yet find that she has "Force" abilities she may or may not be completely aware of until the very end.
There are familiar situations, etc. that "take you back" to the past, for certain. That didn't bother me, really.
Hey, as long as I didn't see JarJar Binks in this one, I am a much happier SW fan. lol
If you really want a nice package for your Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Movie, you really should get the Steelbook Edition and to compliment your other 6, if you have them.

The back cover to the steelbook is a picture of Captain Phasma. Kylo Ren and his red lightsaber are on the front...
Inside is a battle scene of the Millenium Falcon flying and getting shot at from a pair of Tie Fighters.
** NOTE ** ALL Special Features in this set are on the BLU-RAY second disc, "Bonus Features".
** There are NO Special Features on the DVD edition, just the movie itself with a decent menu.
** Special Features are described in the "Details section" for this movie here on Amazon. Loved them all.

I went to the theater expecting the usual dumb kids movie, and was blown away. I LOVED this film and instantly added the DVD to my wishlist. Honestly, my favorite movies are The Hunt for the Red October, Galaxy Quest, Pixar's Incredibles, Princess Bride, Ponyo, Sound of Music, and Lord of the Rings Extended Editions. I gravitate to no particular genre, but only to what I find are the absolute best movies. Frozen is up there with the best movies I have ever seen. Period.
Why is this film so good?
1. It teaches real love. Love is about putting the other person's needs first. Love is shown in your actions not your words. I am so floored that a kids movie actually taught this and even took the time to point out you never get engaged or married to a guy you just met. WOW... a Disney film not about being swept off your feet by a guy in 3 seconds? Its about time.
2. The side kick characters are not annoying.... seriously!! Its like the difference between Jar Jar Binks and R2D2. These side kicks are more like R2D2 whereas past Disney sidekicks were like Jar Jar Binks. These side-kicks from the reindeer to snow monster were done exactly right. They add humor to the show and dimension without ever getting in the way of the story or you wanting to strangle them. Way to go Disney!!! Any way you can retroactively edit sidekicks in older films?
3. The plot themes are serious yet with enough humor that it doesn't feel too serious AND without the humor taking away from the story line. What a great balance to hit just right. Ok so the story line is a bit simplistic because its a kid movie, but it still has twists and turns. I did not find the story predictable because I was expecting another one of those princesses falling in love movies.. and this was not typical. The story teaches important themes like what love really is, the weight of responsibility, how to use power rightly vs. wrongly, and empathy for others.
4. Great music. The opening song grabs you and whisks you away to another world. Every song helps you connect more deeply to each character... and pulls you deeper into the story. I have never felt so much empathy in a musical since Fiddler on the Roof... and I'm not that emotional of a person.
So if you have daughters, grandchildren, nieces, or work in childcare... get this movie. You will be able to watch it over and over without going insane. The kids will learn what true love really is and what to watch out for in love.... its not what all those other princess movies teach. So you can rest easy.

After years and years and years of watching The Sound of Music on VHS and DVD, I thought I knew every blade of grass and every gust of wind visible in the movie. How wrong I was! You don't realize how much picture is lost with standard 480p releases until a monumental blu ray transfer like this comes along and provides a home viewing experience that literally feels like seeing the movie for the first time.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best blu ray I own - and not just because The Sound of Music is probably the greatest movie ever made, but because the picture quality is truly that beautiful. And that makes sense, considering the movie was filmed in 70mm and could contain so much more data than ordinary 35mm. Also, from what I understand, the restoration process was taken extremely seriously and done with the highest technology possible. There's a reason why so many artists are pushing blu ray, and it's because for the first time people can experience their creativity and attention to detail, as it was meant to be seen. There is SO much detail in this movie. Seriously, if you loved this movie before you will have your mouth dropped open the entire time you sit through it in high definition.
And the Audio quality! I didn't even know it was possible to make ancient audio files sound brand new, but it clearly is. Every song sounds 1000000x better than my old CD soundtracks. Add in surround sound... heavenly.
OVERALL: I don't care how many VHS or DVD copies you have of this movie sitting around, you NEED this blu ray. It's not just a restoration, it's a transformation. You cannot have truly experienced The Sound of Music at home until seeing it in 1080p. Not to mention it's cram packed with amazing extras that are actually watchable. In case you can't tell, this BD just makes me so happy. If you appreciate the movie (or bless you, never seen it before) you MUST experience it on BD!

Though this is supposed to be a product rating and not a movie review, I wanted to comment on Matthew's review titled "Old Sport." as a separate review because commenting on his post would merit less views, and I don't like misconceptions.
So yeah, rap probably wasn't the music Fitzgerald had in mind for Jay Gatsby's parties, but that doesn't mean that kids in school studying the novel this movie is based on won't find this movie helpful. In fact, it might be more helpful than any movie adaptation made before it, for this reason: it is largely contemporary. I think it sticks to the story quite well. It is only told differently - that is, it doesn't attempt to stiffly adhere to some notion of antiquity. It tells the story in a way people today, and probably especially those the adolescent age of students studying the book in school, will understand. Maybe jazz in the 20's evoked a feeling different from what it evokes now. And so the soundtrack used in the film expresses what the novel means (while still playing along with the Jazz Age theme, entertainingly) - lavish, badass partying, scandalous forbidden love, intense hope, for example - and isn't that what's important?
I think watching this movie will enhance the understanding of anyone who reads the novel.
Otherwise, whether you are studying the novel, reading it for pleasure, or not reading it at all, this is a great movie worth watching. Superb acting, gorgeous costumes for each body that appears, music that makes an impact, and brilliant retelling of a timeless story.
