Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.

Great lens, great price!

This is a really good lens. Fast focus, sharp photos, good in low light. The low aperture setting is good for a blurred background. Got this on sale for $170, Its about the cheapest lens you can get from Nikon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great lens for the price. There are three prime lenses that are a must for photography, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm, in my opinion. This 50mm is great, large aperture, fast focusing, and tack sharp images.

Hi Jay. the 35mm f1.8 and the 50mm f1.8 are good lenses for blurry BG. I have a D3400 and have both lenses, they are great and cheap too.
