Built two gaming machines and I used this hard drive as the boot drive. This hard drive is lightning fast! The first system I built was from scratch, the other I upgraded the hard drive only. The second system was showing the hard drive as the bottle neck during performance testing. Now the system is averaging 7.7 out of 7.9 possible which was more than a full two points higher. The hard drive is actually performing at 7.8 out of a possible 7.9 and the video card is now the bottle neck at 7.7. It is a very visible speed increase. Boot times are ridiculously fast! I highly recommend it! Probably the best upgrade for the money!!

It is fairly large to be considered a portable drive, and it requires an ac adapter to be pugged in.

How to set up with DVR besides usb & power. Have 500GBP works fine.

Can't figure how to set up to move movies from dvr to hard drive. Works now with 500GBP flawlessly. Is there something to unlock?
If you are using DISH, I think I remember have to call and register the hard drive with them. Hope this helps
