I bought this computer and stuck with it for 30 days. I tried my hardest to fix everything possible myself, I had to manually update several drivers before I could get the GFX to stop crashing or "not responding". Only lasted one day then it started doing it again. Randomly, while typing the computer does something that takes the cursor from where I am typing. It boots with 60% memory being used with hardly anything running except McAfee, which came with it. I am going to return this. Although the price is good, I'd rather pay more for some decent hardware.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great internal hard drive and you really can't beat the price! If anyone seems to have problems once everything is attached to the motherboard please be sure to go into your hard ware system properties and to format the drive! It won't work when it's set up before its formatted! A simple google search on how to format a new internal hard drive will provide you with the simple steps on how to format it based on your operating system.

is this drive good for gaming

I do a lot of gaming , is this a good drive to install ?

This is mainly for storage, will not affect your computer operations. If you have a lot of saved video game footage this is perfect but if you're looking for your computer to run faster during gaming it doesn't apply to this product.

Yeah will have no problem, just make sure to format it for Windows 8 after its installed in the system properties.

"Desktop"? OK in a external dock, thru USB? Can reformat to format exFAT?

I don't see a problem with any of these. I have mine formatted with exFAT, but I've not used a dock.

Connection problems!

This 3TB hard drive seems to have connection issues. Just walking by the unit causes it to disconnect and become unreliable. Short of super glue, is there a better fix? What is the warranty on this unit?

Are you using the cables that came with it or just the old cables that were used for your old hard drive? I haven't had this problem at all, it has worked flawlessly for me. They do have limited warranties, so feel free to contact Seagate they should be happy to swap it out for you.

Will this hard drive work in a PS4 Game System?

You're better off using an external with a USB port, this won't be the best option because it only has connectors to be attached to a motherboard.
