What's great about it: Reliable, easy setup, great price, no dropped service.
Still a reliable workhorse of a modem. Motorola keeps trying to reinvent the wheel after this one, but it is still more reliable and just as fast as even some of the newer ones they have released, as well as any competing brands.
This product has... Fast connection, Secure connection, Easy to set up, Reliable connection

What modem will do the job?

We have brighthouse for tel, tv and internet. What modem wld do the job?
The main question is, is your internet coming in from a cable? This device is used expressly for conversion of an internet signal coming in through a coaxial cable provider (usually Comcast or Time Warner), and converting it into a WAN signal piped out via a WAN port in the back. From there, you can connect it directly to a computer, or wireless router. This particular device will handle heavy traffic, but how much can your router handle?

Does this have a Cable type plugin in the rear of the modem?

Like my current ISP provided one does?

Present modem includes land line phone connection but subject product does not. How do I address this?

There are fewer choices of modems for cable internet and phone service all in one device. The only approved retail device for cable internet and phone in one that I know of is the Arris Tm722g, and it is listed as approved for Comcast service.

Will this modem work with at&t dsl?

No, I don't think so. It is for cable provided internet service only, such as Comcast or Time Warner. If it isn't coming in through a coaxial cable, this is not what you need.
