Brought the system home hooked it up and everything worked great except the rear 3.5mm speaker jack was not shielded properly. I plugged the speakers into the front headphone jack and the speakers were crystal clear and no noise. Other than that a good web surfing, streaming and gaming machine.

I would seek out a Logitech Harmony 350 remote. This remote will work with just about any device including Cable Box, TV, Stereo Receiver, DVD/BluRay. I have one and it is great.

I would look up this question on the internet via an audio/electrical forum. I don't think you would get a proper response from your average BestBuy customer (like me). Not to say that you may get a good answer.

I bought this speaker and wanted to connect to my RCA 40inch LED tv. I tried connecting it to the headphones port of the TV but I hear lot of extra noise. please let me know how to connect this particular speakers to the TV?
I assume these speakers are 3.5mm jacks. Look on the back of your TV and see what type of audio out ports are available. If you have 3.5mm out just plug it in an you are good. If there are there are other audio out then you can buy the appropriate connectors or converters.

Does it have a tone control?
No volume only but if you have a good audio card in your computer you can adjust base/treble that way.

I know it works with 110 V for sure, and want to know if I bring it to a country that runs 220 V, will it works as well?
No these are strictly 110volt 220 would blow them up .

can these speakers be hooked-up to a tv
yes they can. I have mine running through a stereo receiver from the tv via RCA wires. Best dam sound going. I would imagine there are other ways out there.
