I was downsizing from my Klipsch F3's, which by the way I didn't want to part with and are still sitting in my other room. I looked for months to find something comparable to replace my towers while gaining floor space. although alone these didn't do the trick, I added an in-wall sub to go along with these and am very happy. Take the time to learn how to set your receiver properly by bypassing all low frequencies to the sub.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is my 500W amp too weak for these speakers?

Here's the specs for the amp:
5-channel 500W powerful surround sound (100W x 5) High dynamic power, low-impedance drive capability 192kHz/24-bit DACs used in all channels

RMS Power (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz) [THD] 100W x 5 [0.9%] (1kHz)
Dynamic Power/Channel (8/6/4/2 ohms) 110/130/160/180 W

Reason I need new speakers is my old, Polk Audio speakers all burned out.

Thanks!
No. I believe they are rated at 75 watts with a higher peak. You want your amp slightly higher than than the rating. If you bypass the lows to a sub, you will be able to crank it up more without any reason for them to distort. I have a 110 per channel Denon with a sub and can push it to the max with no distortion or issues.
