Normally I would not buy the micro SD Card unless I need it, but this time I decided that having a micro card could be used in a number of devices, and with the adapter card, it will work in the regular channels as well.
Best Buy had a better price on the micro one and this brand then the off brand full size, that was the final decision factor.
Brand Name, High Quality, and Great Price, how can you go wrong.

I like the light up factor, lets face it, what more can you ask for.
One it is great to see that the unit is charging because the lights in the cord are on, so you don't have to go open the unit to see if it is charging.
Plus it is kind of cool at night to see that.
This is the second one I have purchased. Indeed it is a bit pricey, but when I have a coupon or two, it makes it more manageable.

I have found that too big cards then store too many photos. Normally I try to keep my photo cards to about an 8, but this 16 was the same price as the 8 due to a promotion, and I had extra reward money, so it was a good buy.
Works well, and I have no complaints.

It took some setting up to get the eyefi card to work, as there are several versions of the apps in the store, finding the right one was hit or miss. Then there is a short term free membership to their online gallery, where you can upload your images to.
For me it worked for what I needed, as I wanted to quickly relay photos to an Editor and by having them go from my camera through my cell phone to the gallery, then I could move them over to an album for the Editor to see.
The card is indeed slow to store images, so do not expect quick repeat shots to be able to be handled.
I have not yet decided if I will continue with the online storage as that is not something that I would need on a regular basis. It is not cheap, and not really sure that I need it.
Beyond the extra cost having the card send photos to the phone, it was fine, nothing that great. No doubt the technology will improve, until them I am giving it an average.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My replacement video card I was running in my older Dell was causing errors on a regular basis, so in an effort to give the old machine a few more months new life, I purchased this one.
The price was different at the registar than was on the shelf, then it turns out it was not in the right place on the shelf in the first place, nor were the others.
Still it was the lowest price of the lot, and I picked it up.
It works, plug and play, nothing really much more exciting than tat.

And having ones that fit the micro slots is now more helpful, as the action cameras and phones use them.
Honestly I bought this to have as a backup for my Sony action camera more than anything else. Why, SanDisk is a dependable brand name, turned out it had an offer on the package for a free year of movie support and I had some Best Buy Coupons, and it was on sale.
I have never had any issues with the brand, so if it is on sale, it is worth buying.

It has its own data plan, and does not connect to your phone's plan. The unit will get a separate cell number and you buy your data plan as you need it.

I have used it for about 6 hours before the battery is used up, or just plug it in and keep it charging while you use it, if you are near an outlet.
I have also plugged it in to an external battery source, like I do with my cell phone, without issue.

You purchase the hardware first, then you purchase the service next. It does not come with service, that is an extra charge.

How do I know how much data to purchase? Two-week vacation and would use to check e-mail and social media every day or so. If I don't buy enough data, how easily accessible are the pre-paid cards? Need to be find an electronics store? Thanks!

It only is as good as the service in that area will be. It does not improve service.

Nope, no Cell Service, No data service.
I used my Verizon Phone in the location first to see the level of service, it was good, so I knew that I could use the jetpack.

I'm interested in purchasing this device to work on an online class when I'm in locations without wifi. How much does the data plan cost? I will need internet for one month and I hope to connect for 2 hours a day, five days a week.
I bought these for use in a location that had lousy wired internet.
Worked great (make sure you have a good cell signal - mine use Verizon) they have varing plans, but the $100 option gives me 60 days with 10Gb.
You can get a month for less.

Having trouble finding the cable that has the small end for the mini iPad. The new cables are larger and do not fit. Will this one work on the original mini iPad?

Lighting cable is what you need, the old cables had the long connector, the newer connectors are called lighting cables, and are much easier to use. So far all I have see is for them used on Apple products. Now if you have the old and the new units, you will need different cables.
