amazing. the speed increase is ridiculous. I'm running a 5-year old Macbook Pro that is currently faster than any of the brand new PCs my family has.

What's great about it: best buy's return policy
What's not so great: the fact that it doesn't work in Macs
Does not work on a Mac, and, in fact, produces some of the strangest symptoms of incompatibility I've ever seen. Usually with incompatible RAM the computer won't post up. With this ram, it'll run, but shut down on it's own pretty consistently, and corrupted every hard drive connected to it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can I use it to save data directly from Apple apps not running on I Cloud or I Drive?

Yes, you absolutely can. Just treat if as a normal hard drive, as it's nothing more than that.
