I have had a few out of the box systems, you know, dvd/blu ray with speakers sets. After moving to a new place I was not thinking of how my system would work in this new space (open floor plan) I had already looked at this system before (old version) when I first moved here but I had decided to save up and have speakers installed. When I went to best buy to get my new Vizio TV I saw they had this new one on sale $249.99 so with both on sale I was able to get both for under 2K.
Anyway enough background right.
This systems beats all of my previous systems by a lot and I have had samsung, sony and I also had a Philips back in the day (really good satellite speakers). The surround is subtle the way it should be IMO but (can be adjusted) the sound bar looks nice and packs a punch I don't really go over 4 but it can go as high as 12 (it's loud) no wires to run from front to back of the room only the two that go from sub to rear satelites. I bought some wire solution stuff and a couple of mounts from Home Depot ($40-50) to go up one wall and along the cealing to the other side of the room in the back of the room. Looks and sounds great tons of features and I can use my Vizio TV remote with this unit also. All in all a great buy, about $300 total investment into just the sound system and it sounds great for a hell of a lot less than putting in speakers in the wall and cealing.
Now don't get me wrong this is still at the end of the day just a sound bar system and that is why it got 5 stars. This is in no way in the same league as some 1-2K or even more systems. But this holds it's own and then some

What's great about it: Humor with action
What's not so great: Bit of foul language so not for smaller kids
Great family movie, not for smaller kids (violence, language). Overall a great movie to have in the collection it has humor, action and even pulls on the heart strings a bit.
Nice effects for HD folks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It's x-men.
What's not so great: Kind of hard to find at a good deal.
Great movie for the whole family in my opinion. It's the movie that started the franchise so it's a must if you want to collect them all like I did. This was actually the last one in my collection because they show it on tv so much I didn't see the point (dvr) but I am weird like that. Has all the characters you think of when you hear x-men, plot was ok I think they should have stretched out the franchise to be honest (at least the first 3) enough with the wolverine you know. He is awesome don't get me wrong. But great action, good use of cgi and great casting in my opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It's a classic sci fi or action
What's not so great: Not many extras but really did not expect much anyway
Great movie to have in your collection. But I had not seen this movie since I was a kid and I was gonna watch it with the family but it's actually a lot more violent than I remember so parents be aware. Murphy's death is not for kids. But over all great movie to take you back about 20 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use, super customizable.
What's not so great: Accessories not backward compatible and pricy for now.
Well unless you have been living in a cave or under a rock I think just about everyone knows at least the basics about the iPhone 5, and I by no means want to start tossing specs and numbers at you so I will just speak from personal experiences.
I got this phone as an upgrade for my old iPhone 4 (not 4s) I saw a huge difference in speed not just web speed but processing speed as well, it is lighter, thinner with better camera and display. Oh and Siri.
I will tell you what I tell all my friends with a 4s, don't upgrade unless you are one of those must have latest tech people. I really don't think the difference between the 4s and the 5 is worth it but if you are like me who went from 4 to 5 not life changing but there is a noticeable difference.
Ok now I do have some stuff to point out, good or bad it's up to you. You will have to also upgrade all accessories and from $20 to $60 a pop, times however many cables you need (i.e. office, home, car) could get pricy. Also almost all apps are not formatted to the new screen size and don't seem to be in a hurry to do so, now if you are like me and don't really care, you are ok but my brother in law is crazy about what a waste of space it is. Last point is about some of the new tech the iPhone 5 did not get which I am ok with, most of the other big name brand phones have come out with some type of feature, touch and share is probably the most popular most other features have a social media tie-in which I am not big on at all so I'm ok without.
The last thing I want to talk about is the ease of use, in my job I get to check out people's phones on a regular basis because they don't know what to do or can't figure something out they come ask the local photo guy for help not sure why but they do. Anyway I have never had to help with an iPhone other than to confirm it is broken in some way, but some of these other brands, WOW It can get tricky (now I will point out that some of these people have no business owning this type phone but for whatever reason now they have one) over all old or young when you pick up an iPhone it seems the most free flowing operating system.

What's great about it: Easy to use & durable.
Well, I got this phone for my wife's grandmother who just keeps destroying phones left and right.
This phone is perfect for her, it's tough but not heavy, easy to use but has some tech to it ( camara, Bluetooth ect. )
Overall a great phone for an older person or even a starter phone for a kid.

TV Volume Control?
Do you have to use the remote that comes with the Sound Bar to control volume, or, if you're connected to a TV via a digital connection (optical or coax), will the TV's volume control the sound bar volume?
You might have gotten your answer by now but, no you don't then again I have a vizio smart TV and I can use the tv remote with anything connected via HDMI but if I want to change a settings I have to go back to the little remote but it has a screen built into the remote.
