The picture is so good that it looks like you are in the room with the camera operator. Even black and white movies on TCM are crystal clear. It really is the best picture we have ever seen. I cannot see how 4K would be better than this.
TV does not have smart features. Buy a ChromeCast or a Roku or an AppleTV or a smart DVD player if you want to stream. The additional $400-$600 for a smart TV - that is a lot more than buying all of those devices.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The kit eventually worked, but it took a trip to the hardware store in order to make it work. What is the issue? The TV used the 6mm thread diameter bolts. The bolt kit included a wide selection of the smaller and larger sized bolts but for the 6mm, only a very short bolt and a very long one. Nothing in between. The TV could not accept either the short (13mm) or long (38mm) bolts in the lower hole. The short bolt would not reach the threads and the long bolt would bottom out - probably into something that could be damaged. It needed a bolt approximately 25mm long. I had to run to the hardware store and purchase a 30mm long bolt and shim it with 3mm of washers to get a good fit. And now I have a ton of bolts left over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can This Be Mounted On A Plaster Wall?

My home was built in the 1940's, thus all of the walls in my home are plaster, including the ceiling. Thus there are no "Studs" as found in walls made with sheet rock. Has anyone ever mounted a stand to a plaster wall with a LG 42LB6300 HDTV (42') with an approximate weight of 26 lbs?
Is there additional hardware I would need to purchase such as "anchors" and if yes...what kind do you recommend?
Plaster walls also have studs. The studs will be more difficult to find. On top of the studs you will have lath, which are horizontally mounted boards with some space between them. You might be able to use anchors but I recommend finding the studs.
Here is how I find studs: first I knock on the wall and note the tone. The pitch is higher for where the stud is located and you have less of an echo. My method is better than any kind of stud finder. Once you think you have located a stud, use a small 1/16 inch to 1/8 drill and drill into the wall about every half inch until you hit a stud. Plaster and drywall repairs very easily.
use anchors and you will only need one large lag bolt going into a stud, it should hold very well.

Stone Fireplaces

A stone fireplace that is not uniformly straight like a drywall wall would be. Placing a straight edge on the wall, the stone will not touch the straight consistently. However the gaps are less than 1/4". Are there tips on how to mount this tv.
There is a great video on YouTube that will explain how to mount a TV to a stone or brick wall. You will want to mount using anchor bolts and to be sure to go into the mortar not into the brick.

Hardware

What size screws are needed to attach the mounting brackets to the back of the TV - there are 4?
You cannot expect anyone to answer this question directly, you have to follow the instructions and be careful to make sure the frame is securely attached. You need at least 3 full turns of thread and you need to make sure that the bolts do not bottom out.
