My wife and I are selling our house and bought these speakers because we refuse to part with our Bose. By comparison they don't have the bass or range that our Bose have, however they do not have the several hundred dollar price tag either. These speakers are far better than I had expected and I am impressed how well they sound for such an affordable price. They handle great at high volume and do not have any distortion or chipping. For the price, these speakers are fantastic.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do these speaker need an ac power connection?

Have not seen any reviews on how these speakers are connected - I assume they need to be wired to an ac outlook. Also no reviews stating how bluetooth and the built-in wireless perform
No AC. It low voltage signal from your audio output. There's no built in Bluetooth either:(.

Is there a break in period?

I just purchased these speakers and they sound great so far but was wondering if there is a break in period for them. If so how long?
I matched them up with the Insignia 2 channel receiver with built in Bluetooth and am very pleased with this set up.
Thanks in advance.
No break in period.

How can I tell what end of these speakers has the tweeter?

I just bought a pair (on sale this week 7-27-14 for $59.99) and will post a review later on, but I'd like to mount these speakers in the position that puts the tweeters closer to ear level.

Alas, the grilles are not removable, can't be seen through, and none of the photos of the product show the speakers with the grilles removed, so I can't tell which end has the tweeters. (Even if there was, it might not help because the enclosures are symmetrical.)

So can someone tell me if the tweeter is at the end with the label, or the end with the wire teminals?

(And even if it doesn't help, it'd be nice to see a photo with the grille removed, so we can see what the drivers look like.)
I have mine mounted 10 foot off the ground and you can hear the tweets perfectly clear. Don't sweat it with worrying about the tweeters, they sound great and aren't designed to be directional to the point that placement is that critical.

I want to use these for an outdoor movie. How to connect?

I have a projector and a blue ray player (or a DVD player). Do I need anything else? How do I connect these? Really technologically challenged.
It depends on your receiver what you have to do. On my Onkyo the outside speakers are powered by channel 2. You need a receiver that can do this. For example if the T.V. Is on inside the house it will be driving the speakers indoors on channel 1 while a movie outdoors is selected by pressing the channel 2 speaker button and then selecting what device it wants to play ( radio, t.v., blue ray, cd,...).
