What's great about it: all the features!
What's not so great: nothing yet
This is my second Router ( same one ) purchased from Best Buy as a gift and I still have the first one still working 24/7 like an animal nonstop with no issues for more then a year now. My friend was going through routers and I was tired of hearing his stories concerning them dying so I purchased this beast of a Router that will surpass his exceptions and save an hour conversation about them. Like I said Product Price Performance I would buy them for everyone I know.
This product has... Fast connection, Secure connection, Easy to set up, Reliable connection

will this router work with Comcast service?

I am forced to use Comcast in an area no one else covers. Comcast charges a rental fee for routers and I don't want to give them any more money than I have to. I am unfamiliar with the concept of purchasing my own router and do not know if every router works with every internet provider.
Depends on what your looking to do with the connection Maria, most occasions it wouldn't be an issue but you can ask your provider for suggestions on purchasing a different router

will this work on a macbook pro os x version 10.7.5 with hughesnet

It says it supports Mac don't think it should be an issue and there are updated support files if it needs a patch

Does this product also act as the modem?

To produce at home WiFi, will I also need a modem or does this unit act as a modem and a wireless router?
You can go either way all-in-one most likely from a cable provider or purchase a router and they all pretty much support WIFI.

Wired connection not working

I bought the Belkin AC750 to replace the N600 - the AC750 wireless component works fine, but none of the 4 wired ports seem to want to connect to the internet (and thus I have to setup the router wireless as well). I have tried the turn off/turn on and matched the set-up items to the N600 that works wired - I took the first AC750 back thinking it was a bad unit, but the second one will not work either. I have been a Belkin supporter from the beginning of my computing, but getting ready to try a different brand if it cannot be solved. I need wired ports as well - the unit has them, why don't they work?
Belkin HAD great products and the key word is HAD because I used them for some time but too many issues and not enough time to sort them out on a daily so Ive been using Netgear with night & day results. You change the Modem? could be an intermittent issue but sounds like Belkin problem solving at your finest

is this compatble with a swing box?

I have a swing box and want to hook it up in a basement family room but wireless router is upstairs. Want to be able to connect to a web tv box in Florida. Is this what I am looking for?
Depends on the Sqft but should be great on signal, I have mine connected in the garage and my office is on the other side. The signal is awesome!

Will a wireless router work in a panel with a steel door in a drywall install?
