Using the NETGEAR - Powerline Ethernet Adapter
We are going to use the NETGEAR Ethernet Powerline Adapter to connect our router to the
ROKU 3. The router (next to the computer) is separated from our TV by two rooms ... almost
75 feet.
Do you have any suggestions?
To my understanding and experience using the products in our house, the distance itself doesn't matter. The first adapter is connected to the modem/router via ethernet and to a power outlet (not a surge protector). The next adapter is plugged into an outlet near your device and connected via ethernet cable. It works through the house's electrical system. That's what "boosts" or transmits the signal. As long as you have an outlet, you can have signal. I bought a second set so that I could have a second device with ethernet internet access.
They all work fine.
