This is a nice phone set that has worked well in my home office, it was easy to set up. It is one of the few sets I found which included a corded phone in addition to the 3 cordless handsets, reasonably priced, good reception.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Expandable handsets require telephone line??

Do the expandable handset units have to be plugged into a telephone line or does the base unit transmit to the expandable handsets???
The cordless handsets do not need to be plugged into a telephone line, the adapter to each handset needs to be plugged into a power outlet only.

DOSE THE BASE HAVE HANDS FREE SPEAKER?

Yes, the speaker button is in the lower right corner of the base (corded) unit.
