I got this for my 4yr old because of the kids mode app on most Samsung devices. Unfortunately, I was not able to use it because it wouldn't let me enable Netflix on kids mode, and the movies only showed up as a thumbnail of the beginning of the film (usually just a Disney logo). I ended up just making a restricted profile and found an app that showed movies using a cover art image. The tablet itself is lightweight, screen is bright, it's not as fast/smooth as other android devices I've used, but it's fine for a kid. Battery is OK, not great. The old iPad gen 2 this is replacing lasts much longer on battery and it's several years old, and runs everything as good or better than this tablet. Overall, this is just an upgrade in the sense that it's lightweight and easier to tote around for a small child.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Perfect fit, very slim.

What's not so great: Cover doesn't sit flat, expensive.

If you're looking for full front/back scuff/scratch, maybe minor ding protection, with the slimmest possible fit, this is your case. This won't protect from really rough impacts or drops. The folding cover doesn't sit perfectly flat when closed, like it needs more magnets to hold down the edges. It's not a huge deal, especially if you're putting it in a bag or if you just flip it upside down. The leather is nice, the fit is perfect, it feels great in your hand without adding too much weight or bulk.

I would recommend this to a friend!

is it adobe flash compatible

You can download browsers that support flash from the app store. The default browser does not though.

I was in the store looking at this and the rep said that it did, but I can't find anything confirming that in the listing.

It has both a speaker (mono) and headphone jack (stereo)

Is this tablet able to enforce parental controls, to keep allow a certain set time for a child to surf the web?

There is a kid mode app that can lock down the tablet and set time limits, etc. There are also several similar apps available on the app store. Check out iWawa as an alternative.
