This is a great value for the amount of storage in an extremely small package. Comes with SanDisk SecureAccess software to allow encrypted storage on the drive. Overall a great value.

My daughter uses these headphones/mic for doing many things online and for Skype use and says they are comfortable, have great sound, the mic pickup is excellent and they are a very good buy. We would purchase these again.

What's great about it: Easy to use, tablet feature very nice
What's not so great: initially had a problem with display jumping, fixed with software download
This laptop was for my daughter to take to college. She loves the folding display that allows the laptop to be used as a tablet. The system is fast and runs Windows 8 very well with the touchscreen display. The case is metal and has a very solid feel and nice finish. The cord for powered use and battery recharging has a smaller than usual transformer and does not add excessive weight to the laptop in a bag. The laptop has a good resolution built-in web camera that is perfect for Skype use. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great Windows 8 touchscreen display in a package that folds for tablet use.

What's great about it: Once setup, backups can happen automatically
What's not so great: Initial device setup was not very simple
The disk drive itself is highly rated for reliability and is a good price for the amount of storage. I wanted to use this device for backup of multiple PCs and once setup this happens automatically withoiut a problem. getting the drive connected to my home network was easy. it was not obvious however what software needed to be downloaded from the WD site to enable all the functionality. I think someone with less PC software experience may become frustrated.

Does it need to be open to the internet
I know that's what most people are looking for (access from anywhere), but I'm looking for a network hard drive for the people on my home network . I don't need or want people from the internet trying to access my info.

Yes, I have this WD cloud drive and have multiple PC's setup to use it for storage and backup and it is not accesible from the internet. It is a device on my home wireless router which has a firewall in addition to the drive being setup to only allow local access. If you are not sure of yourself setting this up correctly however to keep your information secure, get help from someone knowledgeable.

What pens are recommended?
I recently purchased this laptop and have realized how awesome it would be to take my notes in Vaio Paper. I have seen some pens online for $100+ for the "active digitizer pen". The main reason I want a pen again is to just take notes. Do I really need to spend that much for a pen? does it need to be active or a digitizer at all or does it have to be both at the same time?
The unit does NOT require a digitizer pen. It simply needs a capacitive stylus that basically mimics your finger touching the screen. Google "capacitive touchscreen stylus" and you will find lots of options for as little as $2. You will even find instrucitons on making your own.
