You will HATE the HomePod if you can put a NOT in front of any ONE of the above statements. People bash this speaker because it doesn’t try to be like any or all other speakers. Judge it for what it is, not what it isn’t.
Its great adaptive sound. Voices in particular are clear. Its great with Apple Music. Its easy to set up with IOS. Its small. It blends in with the room. Its quality.
Its not for droids. Sorry.

My wife swore she didn't need an iPad when I got her one 4 years ago... she hasn't put it down since. Not even to let me replace it. Well, I got this new iPad at a great sale price... faster, lighter, better screen, and did I mention a great price? She loves it. So much in fact she let me get the iPad Pro for myself :) Sure the pro at almost 3 times the price is even niftier, but not sure at night scanning the net it makes that much of a difference. Sorry if that was TMI. Bottom line, if you always wanted an iPad and couldn't justify the price, or wanted to replace an old one...this one is for you.

At home, I own the sonos playbar, subwoofer, 2 play5's second gen, 2 play3's , and 4 play1's, a boost, and a connect for my stereo. And I use the Alexa dot to run my sonos play1 at work. So yes, I am a card carrying sonos fanboy. I really, really wanted to throw away my alexa dot and embrace the Sonos one with Alexa. Instead, I returned the Sonos one. Why? Well the sound quality was fine, at least as good as my play 1's. Don't know if better, that would have required more testing. I just could never get Alexa to work. She could tell me the weather but not control my speakers. Um, hello? I don't know if she was confused because i already had an account or what. Alexa on the sonos one just refused to play nice. I'm a sonos veteran, sometimes it does get tricky and you have to google. But when I got to the point where I saw a lot of people having trouble and recommending I power down my whole network and reinitialize everything, and toggle things back and forth while rubbing my tummy... I said nope. This s**t aint ready yet. Back it went. Sure, no doubt sometime in 2018 sonos will release a software patch, that is the beauty of sonos, but darn, when I buy something new, I want it to at least work a little. Is that asking too much? I struggled with giving it 3 stars because it is good sound.. but eh, why reward a company for rushing a product? Instead I bought another play 1. There that showed them! LOL. No doubt there is a sonos with alexa in my future, just not this christmas.

I run OS X and have used this monitor with a Mac mini, an old Mac Pro and an iMac. Super crisp. Great resolution... fast. It does get warm which is great in the winter.

I’m going to assume you know the story of King Kong...so you want to know if this is a reasonable telling (yes) with convincing special effects (definitely) and a good 4K resolution (see title , yes)... and has iTunes download (yes) and good extra items (yes). If you are like, ‘a giant ape?! Oh come on...’ this isn’t for you. Pure action escapism.

Thank goodness Matt Damon returns to Bourne. The movie won't make a lot of sense if you have not seen at least the first one, but for those of us who have been enjoying the saga... this really does fit in well. That's the movie. I bought the 4k version and was not disappointed, really did look better.. .AND.. it came with a free digital download... iTunes, the only way to go. Not that UV junk. So, I can both watch on my 4k tv, or if I am traveling with iTunes. Win, win, win.

As the title says, quiet, cool, inexpensive...and it's fast enough to stream movies, which lets face it 5tb is designed to do. Also great for archiving. So why a 4 and not a 5? It's power supply is external. I have too many of those already.

It's the best stylus on any system I have tried. And I have tried more than a few. It works flawlessly. It never gets confused with my hand, it is fast, and it is pressure sensitive. If the screen was not so darn smooth, I might think I was writing with a pencil on paper. Some of my friends are Apple Haters (you know the type), but even they had to begrudgingly admit this works well.
They were quick to point out it was expensive. It is. One point off. And they crowed there was no built in holder for it. True. You have to be careful not to lose it. That's on you, not the product.

Yes it's expensive. Quality costs. It's a solid keyboard that sits well on my desk. It pairs quickly. Holds a charge for over a month of near constant use. Compact size so I can slide it out of the way when I need to. I would buy again.

How many iPhones can connect to the homepod? How easy is it to switch from one iPhone to another?
Define ‘connect.’
If you mean ‘pair’ then I think only one. Pair means to control settings. Its not easy to switch pairings. You have to reset the system and re pair. I’d get bored of that real quick.
If you mean play music from via airplay, then any that are connected to your network. And its easy.
Btw, anyone can use Siri to control a HomePod hooked up to Apple Music. no iPhone required at that point.
So the answer goes from zero to infinity depending on what you mean lol. Hope this helps.

Any answer would be subjective... and would have to start with, are you or will you be part of the Apple Music world?
If yes, then maybe. If no, then definitely not. The HomePod is apples ‘gift’ to Apple Music subscribers. Only. With an IOS device. All others need not apply.

Can the HomePod use your iPhone's hotspot for internet connection?
Technically... maybe. But it wouldn’t be pretty or easy. Not something I would recommend. And you would need an iPad. Okay, if I really was motivated to do this..
1. reset the HomePod if it was on another network. Remove it from HomeKit.
2. Turn on your iPhone... then move it a bit away, say 5 or 10 feet, from the HomePod.
3. Log your iPad Wi-Fi onto your phone.
4. Then pair your iPad to your HomePod.
That should work. More than likely it will take a few attempts. It really likes to be set to one network then squat.

If you can view the video in real time on a computer, why can't you save it to your hard drive or even burn a CD or DVD (rewriteables)? IOW, why do you ever have to send it to their cloud? The monthly accessing fee is just another expense forever!
There are other webcams that do as you want. They are after a different market. They offer a cloud service so you can access the footage from any device, computer, phone, or tablet, from any place you are. And to make money.
However, there is nothing stopping you from using a screen capture utility to record your screen if you want to run that all the time.

can you add a 25ft extension to the usb cable?
Not easily and probably not at all. The USB cord that come out of the cam terminates in a specially adapted plug to form a weather tight seal with the power brick. However, if you need more cord, its a simple matter to use an extension cord on the cord coming out of the power brick. Thats a stand 110 volt ac plug.
