The image and colors are very good. We like the USB port, which makes it easy to view image files. The viewing angle is excellent, so we can see perfectly from the space adjacent to where the TV sits. The controls are fairly intuitive.

What's great about it: Super easy to use. Great sound quality.
What's not so great: Lost data on battery replacement
Like the H4 I own, the H1 makes excellent recordings. The H1 doesn't have as many bells and whistles, and is therefore easier to use.
The only drawbacks I've found are that I have not found a way to playback a recording other than the most recent one, and the data, and apparently the formatting, were lost on replacing the battery. Be sure to download recordings to your computer ASAP!

adjust picture size
how do you adjust picture size? it seems to overlap the screen & the control button doesn't do much - what am I missing?
Use the menu button and the arrow buttons to navigate to the Picture menu, then down past the bottom of the screen to Picture Size. Right arrow gets you to the list where you can choose the format.
