This is a 802.11n router, so it's one generation old. This is fine for me as my ISP is much slower. Being one generation old makes it a bargain. All in all the router was easy to set up and works great
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have no Wi-Fi in my home if i get the netgear will i be able to whatch netflix on my tv?

Hard to say from the little information you've provided. I'm assuming you have internet service from some ISP and have a modem issued by that ISP? If this is true, you can plug in the netgear router to get Wi-Fi in your home. If your TV is Wi-Fi capable, that maybe all you need. If not, you'll need to buy an additional device such as a roku box or chromecast stick.

I have frontier internet. Currently using their ADSL2+modem router. If I bought this and sent theirs back would they charge me less for service? I'm assuming I must be paying rent for using their device. And is this device a good replacement for theirs.

This is a router only. It has no modem functionality. You need a modem/router combo, one specifically made for DSL
