Bought on sale. Didn't realize a new model came out. Will keep due to price break. New model added RF control remote so no need for direct view to control. Extends Roamio devices with included service for limited time with NO additional cost. This lowers cost tremendously compared to cable company boxes.

What's great about it: Sturdy and it works.
What's not so great: The fact you need to purchase this to enable wired access.
Easy to use, no set up. Apple is usually "into" aesthetic and simplicity and this is not "that". Apple may have done this since with WiFi AC router it seems as quick as the ethernet. I needed this to enable use outside my home where AC wifi is not available.

What's great about it: Graphics, game play.
What's not so great: Too short kinect cord as we have in wall unit
Easy to hook up and connect to internet. Great graphics, ease of use, and game play. A step up from XBox 360. Only issue is proprietary kinect cord that is too short to go to front of dedicated media room with video units installed in a wall rack system. I will keep old XBox as old games won't work on this unit, though turn in with small fee gets upgrade for some games.

Takes some getting used to new features. Most old setting ported over, but had to reset up tones for calls and change new standard ringing to my desired old tones. Love the Siri navigation.

Bought these so I could watch TV while my son studies, but started using to listen to music due to the very good sound quality. The comfort is very good and preferable to earbuds. Cuts out room sounds. Unlike more expensive model, does not come with hard case. I bought extension cord to reach my TV 8-10 feet from my couch.

How can I connect this Sony VPL 1080p SXRD projector with a sound bar? I tried many different sound bar but cannot connect to it. The advisor at Best Buy told me thet the projector doesn't have a hole for sound, so how can this projector give sound?
It doesn't. You connect through a receiver. You can use optical out from your source to your sound bar . They make ian expensive HDMI switches if you have multiple output devices which also have optical out and or coax digital out if your sound bar accepts.

Does this come with a ceiling mount adapter? If no, how much? Either way, can it be used with the Chief ceiling mount already installed at my house? Thank you!
It does not come with a mount. I was able to use my mount from Sony HS10. Depending on your adapter you may be able to use your mount/adapter. I believe Chief adpters are about $100 if your current mount doesn't have the correct screw configuration.

Will the new Tivo record and play my dvd's like my old Tivo
I own a number of DVD's and occsaionaly rent one, can I play these on the Tivo. I have an old original Tivo that will not work with the all digital cable. It will play my own dvd's so I don't need a separate dvd player . Also it will burn dvd's. will the new Tivo do the same?

Please clarify
If I were to buy a TiVo Roamio can I get local broadcast programming by just having an Internet connection? The information is a bit confusing and don't want to end up buying TiVo then having to subscribe to a cable package too. I might as well just get cable tv.
You need cable subscription for the Roamio plus/pro boxes. Tivo does make a box that is for over the air reception and thus doesn't need cable subscription. The advantage of box is Tivo supplies local guide and ability to record seasons of shows recording either current season or only new shows depending on which you choose.
