What's great about it: Really good price

What's not so great: bios issues

I had a problem with the bios locking me out of the computer. Their was a bios bug and with this model they don't have jumpers on the motherboard, so Toshiba had fix the item in house. They send me a box to return it to them. They handled the problem very efficiently and returned it very promptly.

what is a wireless adaptor, and is it needed for all wireless laptops?

I'm comparing a Lenovo laptop and this Toshiba, but i'm not seeing any reference to an adaptor with Lenovo. what is the adaptor and is it needed for all laptops?

The wireless adapter is used for connecting to wireless networks. All modern laptops that I have looked at, have wireless adapters built in. With mobile device's now days, built in wireless is almost always standard equipment.
