The reception received is better with the Mohu. I've tried the cheap ones and they don't have the quality

Is is a digital or data broadcast? I am looking to record shows from a 4K UHD TV to an external hard drive. This must be digital, not data broadcast

Do I need another antenna to use with the leaf or just the leaf alone? I saw a YouTube video showing installation and he was also using rabbit ears

I live in a small apartment which has two brick walls the signal has to get through, will Leaf 50 work here? I am using my Mom's computer to ask this question and she has given me permission to use her email account.

would this antenna be good to use on a TV within 40mi. of signal and in a house with a spanish tile roof?

It should not be affected no the roof. Mine is on the wall next to the window and works great.
