Simply took out all my other remotes though I do keep them handy. It was mostly easy to setup and I tweeked it to my likings over the next week.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this remote control a Tivo unit?

I have a digital TV which primarily uses Tivo. I also have a sound system, a Roku, and a DVD player. So I use 5 remotes. I use the TV remote to switch inputs, the sound system to turn it off and on and control volume, the Roku when watching streaming stations, and the DVD when watching a DVD. Can one control all of these?
You have what I call the basics! Add in aa DVD/HDD recorder and a computer for my set up. It works sweet with all my devices.

Will this program a dvd/vcr combo?

Yes! I have a DVD/HDD device and it' sweet. Just make sue Harmony has the codes for it. Harmony.com along with make and mode number.

Will this work with the Changhong brand HDTV?

Go to Harmony.com and find out. That's the best way to do it. Have make and MODEL NUMBER when you do this.

can you use more than one remote

I want to use 4 remotes with the Harmony Smart Control on 4 different TV's all hooked to one cable box located in the basement.
You can pair up a lot of remotes and Smartphones! Each TV will need its own Hub though. I have one Hub for my bedroom and another for my living room.

Connection

Is this device controlled via Bluetooth or is wireless needed? Is IR sensor included?
Wireless is needed if using Smartphone. I believe remote uses IR signal to communicate with the hub. The Hub is actually the part that controls all the electronics with remotes controlling Hub.

Can I use this to control lighting and open a door?

I have a German door that can be operated electronically. I want to be able to unlock my door and turn certain lights on from my Apple iPhone just before arriving home. Does this system do that and how does it work? What do you need to make it work?
Sorry but I don't know. Get make, product number, etc and go to HHarmony.com to see if it will control it.

Can I use this to control my pc that's connected to my tv?

If I were to connect my PC to my HDTV by HDMI cable (they are 2 rooms away from each other), would this remote let me control the pc from that distance? There are several walls and no direct line of sight between the tv & pc. I simply want to view videos that are on my pc, but on my tv in the other room. I just have no way of controlling the pc from that room.
The distance is the the problem. 30 feet...
