great price while on sale. 3 year warranty by western digital , which is not very long , but is better than many of its competitors, the drive itself is speedy (38) megabytes per second (around 320 megabits ps) average. which is as fast as a spinning platter will get you.

I would recommend this to a friend!

will this work in a dell desktop

does this contain a mounting bracket for a 3.5" bay in a desktop and does it include software to clone the existing hard drive or migrate the OS? (Windows 7)

to answer your questions= no and no. this is an external drive with a usb 3.0 cable interface, what you need is an internal sata drive 3.5 mm, and paragon hard disk manager 2015, look for their website. you can migrate your Os nicely and quickly

it is 9mm, with a soldered usb 3.0 interface, no sata

drive failing? please check the wd global website, for argentina service locations. if any, you should be able to get it checked , remember the drive has a 3 year warranty.

Does this work in a PS4?

I can't tell what size it is, and 9 mm or thinner is recommended for PS4 upgrades.

remember this is an external drive, you can use it connected by the usb 3.0 cable to your ps4, if you disassemble it, youwill void the warranty, and the drive itself does not have a sata connector , but a soldered usb interface in it

it should be. windows xp detects external mass storage devices

For example, can I use it on my xbox one day then use it on my laptop later?

No, to be able to use it on an xbox one you have to format it exclusively to that device, if after awhile you decide you don't wanna use it for the xbox one you have to format it for windows, loosing all xbox one data in the process.
