I now have 3 of these chime. My third one is in my back yard in my utility shed. Now I know when someone is approaching my door and when they ring the bell. Now I do not need to have my phone with me when I am working in my shed.

Used this extender to convert my WIFI Hotspot to Ethernet and provide our office with Internet after Hurricane Irma had our services down for more than 2 weeks. Connected the Ethernet to port to our router and we all received internet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you need to turn the extender off when not in use, or do you need to keep it on?

I never turned mine off. Did not have a problem. I used one to extend my wifi for my RING doorbell
and the Ethernet port fired up my Samsung Smarthings Hub. The other one was used to give my office
temporary internet connection from a HOTSPOT and the Ethernet connected to the router until we got
services back up from Hurricane Irma.
