Can I completely eliminate basic cable, since I really only watch channels 2-30?

Yes you can.I gave the cable company there box back but kept the internet.I use ampified rabbit ears for local channels and watch Hulu on my roku for the few channels I watch.I only wanted A&E and history channel.I got tired of pay $120.00 a month for a few channels. Take the plunge and get rid of cable.
