Have a picked the correct replacement?
I am replacing a GE Microwave with build in kit in an opening H 16 3/4 by W 25 1/2 by D 27 3/4.
I know from a previous post made here the oven I've chosen PEB7226sfss will work with Trim Kit JX7230sfss. Correct??
Will this oven and kit work on my opening???

Contact the GE customer service rep using the GE appliance app as I did. I had basically the same questions for replacing my old nonfunctional GE microwave. They gave me the recommended model to order & the correct trim kit based on my cabinet openings. Customer service was helpful & friendly.

Are there instructions on installation??
I have an old cabinet installed microwave with an old trim kit. I was told that PEB7226SFSS would be the right replacement. The old trim kit is pretty ugly but simple to install and deinstall - four small external screws. So if I decide later to replace the old trim kit all I would need to do is unscrew the 4 screws to take off the old trim kit. So, does the new trim kit fasten similarly with external screws?
When I replaced my old trim kit from old GE microwave they no longer made I was able to replace the old trim kit with the recommended one for the new microwave. However, the old trim kit had 4 screws to remove while the new trim kit had approximately 7 to 9 screws, I do not recall exactly. The point being is that the template that came with the new trim kit had a template that I used to align the new screws in the correct location.

Do I need the 30 or 27 inch trim kit?
The opening is 27 inches wide by 16.5 inches high. The cabinet itself (opening + frame) is 30 inches wide by 19. 5 inches high. We'll be getting the GE Profile 2.2 cu. ft. countertop microwave Model # PEB7226SFSS.

I currently have GE microwave model #JE1860SB 003 with a trim kit. The cutout for this combo (measuring the outside of the trim kit) is Length 30" and Height 19". What are my combo options to replace that will fit cutout? Thank you
I called & talked to the GE appliance customer service rep after accessing the GE appliance app & giving them the old model number of my microwave & dimensions of my cabinet. They gave me the recommended microwave model as well as the appropriate trim kit size. It was perfect!

Does this trim kit include the mounting base that the microwave will sit on top of inside the cabinet cut out?
Yes, the trim kit comes with a mounting base as well. Additionally the trim kit has a template which is easy to follow that allows the installer of both the microwave & mounting base to be centered from side to side & front to back. Once this is completed the outside trim fits perfectly. Also I accessed the GE appliance app & spoke with the customer service representative to confirm the exact model of microwave I needed based on my cabinet opening & she also confirmed which trim kit size I would need as well. Customer service was friendly & very helpful.
