This is not the super high quality 4k with Ethernet capability. If those are things you need this isn't for you. That being said, this is perfect for what my application was. My new camera came with a mini HDMI port and I needed something that would give me flexibility. This pack provides a lot of functionality for the price.

I have had my fair share of mid-range tripods in my day most of which were Sunpak. This is a very high quality tripod. It has many options and is extremely versatile. It folds to a very totable size and even includes a carry case with a strap. I think the higher price equates to the quality and functionality of this tripod. This might be the last tripod I ever need.

Do you need to have the escort app in order to use the radar after 1 year subscription that is free if yes how much is it? Do you have use use the app every time you use the radar and will the app use your data?
The radar detector will function independently without the use of the app. The app itself will cost you around $50 a year and will use data when it is running. In my opinion $4 or so a month is worth the cost and you really get the full benefit from the Max 360. If that sounds like too much money Escort offers some other high quality detectors that don't have the app functionality.

What do I need to switch from a desktop to a laptop and be wireless?
I currently have a desktop with dial up internet with a brighthouse cable modem. Besides the laptop, what else would I need to buy to go wireless?
You would also need to buy a wireless router that will hook to your modem and create a wifi network. Choose a quality entry level wireless router from Linksys or Netgear.

What is needed to connect this Sony BRAVIA KDL40W600B with our Sony FM Stereo/FM-AM Receiver STR-GX4ES for stereo sound...also connections needed for SONY Video Cassette Recorder/DVD recorder RDR-VX515? It is time to replace our very old SONY TV but the replacement must work with our other components.
Stereo sound from the TV will be easy but connecting older video equipment may require a converter/switch. Audio can be achieved via a 3.5 mm to RCA cable to your stereo reciever. This will capture all sound from the TV including the smart apps. If your DVD/VHS combo has RCA connections (red, white and yellow) you will be all set as there is one classic RCA connection. I have attached a pic from the manual that looks like your set-up.

No it won't. The Droid Ultra doesn't have wireless charging capabilities.

Qi is a wireless charging standard. Some new phones (Note 5, S6) have wireless charging built into the phone.
