If I install this item in my home, what can it control and how?

I just purchased a new home and I would like to control things inside of my home with my phone. If I install this device in my home, what can I control with it using my phone? I've wired my entire home with Cat5e and several computers, tvs, printers and other devices are connected to the internet via a cat5e cords that run to my switch and the switch is connected to my router.

What types of devices are compatbile with this Insteon device? What is this device designed to do and work with? Do I have to buy other insteon devices to get automation control or will it be compatbile with the existing devices in my home that are connected to the internet?
You can control as much as your heart and wallet desires. The hub is a good start. Insteon works by 2 different modes of communication, 1 via the home powerlines and the 2nd by wireless. can i control my dvd, tv, home theater wiht this protuct?

You don't, buy a universal remote. If you want to control automation and the TV, etc get the Logitech ultimate home remote. Pricey but can do a lot.

do you sell tv, home theater o others insteons compatible products?

what it mean to be insteon compability? where i can find those articles, like tv, dvd, home theater, do you sell those compatible tv or home theater.
Insteon is a home automation line that controls lights, appliances, HVAC, sensors, relays, cameras, etc. It really does not interface with a TV but you can use a phone, tablet or PC to control it
