What's great about it: Easy Fast Easy
My wife hated computers --- "They've ruined my life!" she'd spew. Mac was slow; Windows PC slower. Updates, upgrades, upTheWazoo. She doesn't need much: email, internet, online video calls with her dispersed family members, some document preparation --- word processing, a few spreadsheets here and there. But all that was the bane of her communication world.
What do you give a gal like that? --- a Chromebook. Fast on everything, hassles on nothing. Now she emails. Google chats with her children and grandchildren, browses, uses Google Drive for document preparation. Yet one thing is missing: she complains no more; even, I'd say, loves computers.
Bane banished, hassles halted ... on to other First World Problems.
This product is... Good sound quality, A touch pad that works great, Big screen size, A nice compact size, easy to set up, lightning fast
About me... Budget Conscious, Basic web surfing & emails, Parent with kids, Computer technology beginner

is there a CD slot so you can insert a DVD/movie????

i need the answer ASAP!!!!!!
No, the Chromebook does not come with a CD slot, at least the 14" HP version. I don't know that any do. The concept behind the Chromebook is that we are moving almost entirely to an internet/cloud world. The less on the computer itself, the better.

If what you want to play is online and you have internet access, that is the way to go.
