I don't want to run more than 1 HDMI cable through my wall. Will this soundbar work with an A/V receiver as the entire 2.1 speaker set?
If not, are there other ways to get a single HDMI in the wall switched where the components are set up?
If your reciever has an HDMI output, yes. What you want to do is run everything you have audio wise into your receiver. Things like cable box, gaming systems, blueray/DVD players, etc. Then run a single HDMI out from your receiver to the back of the soundbar to the HDMI in. Then run a single HDMI from the HDMI out on the sound bar to the HDMI input on your TV.
Now if you dont have an HDMI output on your receiver and stillwould like to route it as listed above you will want to shop for a new receiver that has the HDMI output.
