Samsung - 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer
Samsung - 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer
Bring movies, music and games to life with this Samsung HWF450 2.1-channel soundbar that features three 2-way speakers and 3D Sound Plus technology for vibrant audio. The wireless active subwoofer offers powerful bass for dynamic home theater audio.

I don't want to run more than 1 HDMI cable through my wall. Will this soundbar work with an A/V receiver as the entire 2.1 speaker set?

If not, are there other ways to get a single HDMI in the wall switched where the components are set up?
If your reciever has an HDMI output, yes. What you want to do is run everything you have audio wise into your receiver. Things like cable box, gaming systems, blueray/DVD players, etc. Then run a single HDMI out from your receiver to the back of the soundbar to the HDMI in. Then run a single HDMI from the HDMI out on the sound bar to the HDMI input on your TV.

Now if you dont have an HDMI output on your receiver and stillwould like to route it as listed above you will want to shop for a new receiver that has the HDMI output.

Does this connect with an ipod or iphone?

This does not have a direct docking station for an iPhone as you may see in other devices, but it does connect via bluetooth very well. I use this when demoing this soundbar in the store.

Connecting UN55FH6003FXZA wtih SamsungSmart 3D Wi-Fi BlueRay/dvd PlayerBDF5900 and a Samsung21Channel Soundbar with wireless subwoofer HWF450

Just ordered all three of these together and I'd like to get some heads up info on what cables/accessories,etc that I nees to connetc them all together with and also any tips/suggestions on how to hook them together. It's a surprise Christmas gift for our family so I would really appreciate having on hand what I need for and how to make all the connections. Thanks anyone!
You will need a couple things based on what other electronics you want to hook up. For instance if you have a cable or satelite box to hook up outside of what you listed above. The TV you listed will only have 2 HDMI inputs. If you have HD cable/satelite you will need an HDMI cable running from that box to an HDMI intput in the back of the TV. The same is true with the Blue Ray player. This covers the two inputs on the new TV. Hopefully you will have a optical audio output on this TV, I do not see it listed either way on Best Buy's website. If you do it will be a small black square type connection on the back of your TV, probably near the HDMI inputs. You can tell its an optical output because when the TV is plugged it a red light will be eminating from an optical output. Also it should be listed as Optical Out or something along those lines. You connent the optical cord you have or an upgraded one you purchase from the back of your TV to the back of the soundbar. This is what will send the audio signal from everything going into your TV out to the soundbar.

What model Optical Digital Audio cable should be used with UN60FH6200FXZA and soundbar with wireless subwoofer?

Most soundbars come with a generic optical cable when you buy them. If you want to upgrade there are many out there, all are universal. That means it doesnt matter the brand of TV or soundbar. Rocketfish is pretty good here, but there are better ones if you want to spend the money.
