Does this offer customer support and for how long after purchase. May I call netgear to help with hook up and connectivity. This is a modem and router for wifi in home. How far does the wifi extend

As far wifi extend...we were in a 1700 sq ft home and needed the extender gadget to get reliable wifi in all 3 bedrooms. I'm now in a 1-bedroom 700 sq ft apt and don't need that gadget (sorry don't recall the name, it plugs into reg outlet, white box). Hope this helps
