What's great about it: Reasonably priced compared to other products for the Ipad Air.
Price was right and works well with the Ipad Air. I love that you can move the Ipad Air Horizontally and Diagonally.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: The look after it is applied
I didn't like the way it looked after it was applied. I took it off after a month. Very disappointed with this product because I paid too much for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has anyone tried to drill a hole in the interior cover for the camera

I have a Lenovo A300 tablet. It has a corner camera like the iPad mini. I was thinking of drilling a hold in the corner under the main backing to allow for the lens to take pictures. I would only have to rotate the tablet in the holder to have unobstructed view. Has anyone tried this? Any recommendations on the method for drilling a hole?
That is the only part I do not like. No hole for the camera location to take pics. I don't think I would want to drill a hole because the material is not leather and it may fall apart afterwards. It is made of cardboard and pleather.

There is an Elastic Loop for a stylus pen.

will the case fit a surface 2 tablet

It fits several other 10" Tablets but I no longer have the cover to answer this question. You would need to go on-line to see the other Tablets it can be used with. Sorry I couldn't help you further.
