I love it I have 1 for each TV. I can use and charge my phone while I watch whatever I want from my phone on my TV. Only downside is as of now it can't decode AC3 audio even with the AllCast app. So in those instances I still have to use The MHL adapter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sound quality is amazing for its size, fills my bathroom perfectly. I want to add the second speaker for a fuller sound and this is the only Bluetooth speaker you can do that with. App for it is cool too, but only used for a few things. It's mostly a set and enjoy kind of thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can this connect to shared files on a network?

I have an external hard drive connected to my network, as well as files on my desktop i would like to play through the Chromecast. Can the device connect to these shared folders on the network to play these files?
Yes. If you can connect to the hard drive from your phone then you can cast it to your Chrome cast using the AllCast app.

External MyCloud to TV

I have a WD MyCloud external hard drive connected to home network. I know with my Samsung TV I can access this hard drive to watch the movies on it using a Samsung wifi adapter. I would like to watch the contents of my hard drive on a Sharp TV that doesn't have wifi. Will this device allow me to access my network hard drive?
If you can access the hard drive with your phone then you can watch it on your chrome cast using the AllCast app.

can I mirror to my smart tv any website from my android?

Pretty much. There are 2 ways to use the Chrome Cast. Screen mirror ( it as good) or casting (best). So if a website doesn't have a cast option, you can always screen mirror it.
