What's great about it: Size of screen
What's not so great: Nothing
I have on older Garmin nuvi 660 that this one replaced. There are a lot of new features that I am learning about. So far it works great.
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Lifetime traffic, Free map updates

How do you attach the ball end of the mount to the socket of the GPS ? Do you just force the ball in ?

Yes it is a lot tighter that my old Garmin But it can be forced in
