Even though this type of media is somewhat outdated, this is a great option for camcorders that still use MiniDV, especially those that are HD. Great output level when loading to a computer.

What's great about it: Easy setup, insanely low
What's not so great: Sometimes does not connect instantly, limited capability on mobile devices
The Chromecast is a huge step forward for multimedia mirroring. Its very simple to set up and only requires a wi-fi connection. The mirroring function works extremely well with desktops and laptops, allowing you to cast anything that can be played or shown in a good chrome tab. There is also the option to cast the full desktop screen.
The only flaw I can see right now is that with mobile devices casting is only available with a limited number of apps, such as Netflix and YouTube; however, for $35 there's really nothing you can complain about.
I like it so much i've boughten three, one for each property.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you post and view your twitter feed on the chrome cast?

You can use your laptop or desktop to transmit your screen to the TV, but there isn't a specific Twitter function incorporated into the chrome cast or twitter app.
