Wish it was a touch screen as well but at this price I cant complain.
Worked great on my last flight since you no longer have any leg room and trays are about the size of a fist.
Great battery life, would buy again if I needed to.

Lets face it, these are still gadgets. However when the wifi gets turned on and you don't need your phone within range it could be a game changer for this device. Also charging is quick and easy but not so great needing to do it daily. I can probably get 2 days out of a charge if I wanted to but pushing it and not having the handy watch, well that's an issue. I recommend getting a Qi charger for your desk at work or wherever you may need it as a backup. It does look good, the leather band is nice. However the $80 for the metal band is a bit of a joke.
In a generation or two these will be a lot more useful but right now unless you get it on sale like I did I would say hold off the Moto watch 2 to see what new additions it has.

How good is the Moto360 for measuring calories burned through the day
I already own a jawbone UP24. That's a whole different setup but the UP software will work with the watch.
In any case, it's pretty good. If you're looking at $150 fitness tracker or a $250 watch I say get the watch.
Upside is does so much more than tell time over the fitness tracker.
Downside is requires much more frequent charging.

is watch and cellphone proximity always necessary
On my regular bicycle ride of 2 hr duration can I leave the cell phone at home? Can I sync the watch and cell after coming home? Does the phone have enough memory to store heart rate data as well as GPS data ? On week ends the run could stretch to 4 hrs/100 kms. Would that be too much data?

Only needed if you're looking for constant updates. it still works as a watch but no texts or other phone related stuff will work
