Went in to replace a GE microwave with the same model. Unfortunately that unit wasn't in stock and had to be ordered. Long story short, found this model and have never been disappointed with LG appliances. This is another example of that. I had to install it using an existing face-kit and LG had all the same holes as the other model. Took all of 30 minutes from out of the box to installed and working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

does microwave have a filter

This is a countertop unit, not an above the stove mounted unit. No need for any filters.
