Without question, this is a great remote. But there are a few areas that could be potential deal breakers.
As I review this remote, I did so comparing it with my Harmony hub and elite remote control which I used as a direct reference.
Setting up devices and scenes is where this remote really excels. Very straightforward, very intuitive, and minimal steps needed. The one issue I always have with Harmony is that you have to go through so many different steps to change minor things or the app that you use would slow down and sometimes have lag. With the Sevenhugs remote I was all set up with my devices literally within five to seven minutes.
There were some devices that weren't directly in the database, but even so, the remote walk me through to find the best possible replacement set of codes. my wife is not the most technical person, with the harmony remote, I feel she would have a lot of issues setting up, but with the sevenhugs remote, I feel she could easily setup and use this remote in no time.

An immediate downside is the lack of options for using the remote through cabinet doors. I'm sure this will be addressed at some point, if it hasn't already been touched on, but as of right now it's a bit of a letdown.
the screen itself is very responsive, easy to read, and a lot faster than I thought it would be. Everytime you touch it easily snaps directly to the next device with no delay. Very impressive.
In relation to other remote controls, the battery is life is fairly dismal. There was a point where I left the remote off the base, didn't use it, and within 12 to 15 hours, it was almost dead. it appears to have some sort of supercapacitor where if you place the remote on the base for 30 seconds, it will buy you another 15 to 30 minutes. If your base is not within reach, this can be very irritating if you are in the middle of programming and need to make a change. Off the base with no use, you don't even get 24 hours. That's a huge thing to consider when buying this remote.
As for automation, this was another upswing. I connected it to my Christmas lights and to my living room lamp. Once elected it instantly worked, and I have not had a hiccup in that service sense. This is great for setting up my scenes for movie watching where I can turn on the TV turn on my amplifier and dim the lights with one button press.
And now, the bread and butter... the smart remote feature.
First it needs to be noted, that the sensors need to be placed strategically and very specifically.any issues with in the line of sight and the feature becomes null. Although the sensors are not very abusive, my wife found them to be a bit of an eyesore in the room. I'm sure over time you will forget they are there. But it does need to be visible in order for this to take full advantage of this feature. I had some issues setting it up, but once I understood how it worked, I was pointing and changing in no time. When I first read about this remote the one question I had is how does it worked with stacked components. After experimenting, I realize that you have to be extremely specific with the location in which you point your remote. General vicinity does not do well. In my bedroom I have my bluray player stacked on top of my cable receiver. There were many times, where within a quarter of an inch the screen would switch. the problem is regardless of the scene, I was still get a device that I was not using in the point and display. the only fix that I could find for this is to truly make the locations in the extreme corners of each device. For example, my Blu-ray player is set 6 in from the left for this corner, and the Samsung cable box location is set 6 in from the right corner.this helps alleviate some of the problem but you have to memorize exactly where you set the location. obviously, if you're watching a DVD you probably don't need your cable box but if they're in the same vicinity the remote will steal occasionally show the cable box, this can be a bit irritating when you just want to pick up and quickly skip a scene. If your devices are spaced out with a good distance away from each other, this shouldn't pose an issue. Before the mini like me, this feature is just fun in concept, but not quite as useful in implementation.

All and all, this is a great remote. For me, being that many of my devices are behind cabinets, stack devices, and the shorter than normal battery life this remote would not be a good choice for my primary. As of right now, it lives in the bedroom and it does extremely well there.I still would recommend it, as I know people who definitely have a different setup than I have and this does not pose an issue. The functionality I have not had an issue it's just he's minor gripes that are in the way of giving me it a full 5-star rating.

This system replaced a Yamaha 7.1 surround sound bar and dedicated sub in the living room. So far, it has been all positive, with one small exception.
That exception was the set-up. The cast app was buggy. While setting up, it would give error messages about wifi connection and renaming. I ultimately had to go through Google Home to get everything sorted. Being that you only have to do this once, not a big deal.

The sound produced is stunning for a unit this size. The bar itself is smaller than my last, but produces much stronger/precise audio. I tried it on video games and a few Atmos encoded movies...new dimension of sound.
The major kudos comes with the aesthetics. Very minimal. I'm estatic that wireless audio has come so far. One thing my wife hated about surround sound systems was the wiring. With this system, it's all just about hidden. The rears connect to the sub and there is no latency. Excellent.
The Google integration is a great bonus, and it works just as well as an actual Google device. Now, I can move my other Home speaker to replace a mini.
I will add that the multi-led notification panel has a bit of a learning curve. But like anything, with more usage, I'm sure it will come with time.
While I continue to push for the ULTIMATE SUPER DUPER SOUND SYSTEM a ways down the path, this will do more than fine in the meantime. Definitely recommend.

First off, this thing is huge! That being said, for what it does, I definitely don't mind. It has just about every input you can possibly use with the extra edition of double mic ports for karaoke. I love this feature!
I crank this up, and the sound is fantastic. Easily fills up any space that I could possibly put it in. And the modes compliment all types of music. The lighting effects are mesmerizing and my daughter happens to love them.
The only downside I see is I wish that it had a cord keeper and a spot to store the remote control when storing the unit.
Definitely a fun addition for any party you could possibly do. I also like the chain speaker mode to connect to my other Sony speakers in case I want to do multi-room audio.

This system replaced another mesh system that I was using. Upon installation, the app was very intuitive and very simple. was up and running in no time. So far, speed tests have been great, and I have not had a single drop in signal, which I experienced several times with my last system.
Connecting extra notes was also a simple process. And now I have a steady even signal throughout my entire home, including the bathroom which was always a difficult spot. I like that the primary node has an extra hard ethernet port that can be used. That is missing in many of the newer mesh systems. I have yet to test out the tribe and feature, but most of my devices automatically use specific bands. On that note, I like that you can set up Priority devices with little effort.
All in all, this is a great system and one of the better mesh systems I have ever used.
The only tip I would like to give that should have been mentioned in the set-up, on each node there is a username and password for setup. Make sure you take note of that before you place your system in its spot. You will need this information.

Relatively easy to set up and really good sound right out of the box.
this is definitely a powerhouse of a speaker in a relatively small package. Cranking up the volume fillss not only the entire room but I can hear it all throughout the my place.
As for Alexa, the integration does not miss a beat. It is just as good as my Fire tablet and my dots that I have strewn throughout the house.
The issue that I find, as with many of the speakers in this class, is slight issues with the app.even on a strong Wi-Fi connection, there is often the delay when shifting settings. And setting up the speaker initially, the app was a bit of a hindrance. I must admit though, the equalizer works pretty good in tailoring sound to your specific type of music.
Bluetooth works without a hitch and it's great when pairing up with other units in my home. Auxiliary and RCA inputs are definitely welcome with the RCA connection becoming rare.

This is a great multi-purpose drink machine. I found it to be very easy to use, and the options are abundant. I really like that it comes with permanent tea and coffee filters to stave off the extra expense of paper filters, that is a major bonus.
The build feels nice, it's very sleek and adds a nice touch to my kitchen counter. When it makes the drinks it is fast and the frother works well for the latte side.
the one downside that I have is that this needs a lot of space. Being that if you drink from the carafe the water tank needs to be refilled frequently you need enough side space to be able to pull it out and replace it easily. At the same time the frother is on the opposite side and that needs to be pulled out in order to be used. So you I either need to be sure that it has good clearance on both sides or be able to twist it and maneuver it on the counter.

I needed a loud, great sounding, portable, durable speaker, that could connect with Google Home. This fits all of those specifications, and does it well.
The sound is clean and clear with all audio types tested. The app also has a great EQ to customize the sound to my liking. This speaker fills plenty of space easily being heard from room to room. And it actually does have good bass, unlike some of the other speakers in this class.
It as some weight to it, but it is fairly portable with the easy accessible handle.
I have it set to a roving speaker on Google Home. It works just as good as any of the other Google Home/Mini speakers I have strewn about, with the sound being much better due to its size. I can place it in any room to get any extra boost to whatever other speaker in my place. This really comes in handy for talk/Youtube feeds that are recorded at lower volumes.
Pairs easily through NFC/Bluetooth. It can stay paired while simultaneously being connected to my Google speaker group.
I also like the USB-C two-way port on the back. Sure, it may lessen the battery, but it's great when you need a charger in a bind.
Speaking of battery, this is one of the few that really gets close to the advertised battery life. I went two days without charging!

I have never been one to be convinced of buying high-end vacuum cleaners. They all serve the same purpose, so no one is better than the other.
Then, I was fortunate enough to try this vacuum cleaner. What a difference.
It's the little things that make a difference. The different types of attachments really do make a difference. The greatest feature I never knew I would love, is the light! it's bright enough that when I go over my hardwood, I can see the dust that is accumulated in certain spots that I have missed.
The dash brush does great going underneath cabinets and dressers. The upholstery tool made going under couch cushions super simple and quick. And to be able to use the wand at different heights really makes a difference in multi-level cleaning. As of yet, I haven't found a true negative for this vacuum cleaner except that the squareness of it can be a bit bulky. So as I'm writing this review, I am a believer and I get what all the fuss is about. Great vacuum!

I have been through dozens on BT headsets, and this pair is rising to the top of my favorite list. I have put them through some of my most grueling workouts, and I have faced very few issues.
The fit: Snug and STAYS PUT! Even when throwing strikes at the heavy bag or sprinting, they stay in place. I've had very few sets accomplish that. The "band" hasn't been a nuisance. Typically with these types of sets, the bad will curl up, or lose shape and become a hindrance. Not an issue so far.
Sound: Great balance. I usually prefer my headsets loud enough to drown out everything, but I'm realizing that isn't the smartest way to listen. These get just loud enough where I'm not distracted by others, and I can still hear things in my surroundings. It has been great for outside runs. Playing with the ear buds rotation helps to get a tighter fit when I want more bass. Clean sound with no noticeable feedback or distortion.
Durability: Great. Took them in the shower for kicks, kept on playing. Tossed them around and in my gym bag, no issues whatsoever.
Battery: So fay, it is true to the advertised times. The only negative here is when it alerts for "battery medium," it shift fairly quickly to "low battery." The low battery period is fairly long, so it balances out, but the alerts are a bit off.

Another great feature is the seamless ability to switch between devices. I go back and forth from my tablet to my phone with little issue. I've had other pairs connect to both, but not switch so easily.
This is a great headset, and I'd recommend in a heartbeat.
The only main gripe I have is with the app. So far, it has been a pain and unnecessary. Haven't needed to use it, so it doesn't really matter.

I have always heard great things about the boom series of speakers. So, I was excited to give one a try and compare it to other speakers in its class. Let's get right to it.
This speaker is loud, really loud, but loud does not always equate to better. The first thing I like to do is crank up the volume. With this speaker, out of the box, I noticed distortion and clipping at high volume. After tweaking the EQ within the app, I was able to correct most of the issue. Not all, but most.
The bass is where I found most of my disappointment. I wasn't expecting room shaking thump, but being that the speaker is always advertised as the party starter, I was expecting a bit more bass than what was present. Even going into the EQ and turning up the bass all the way, it still seemed "hollow." The low end bass tones were decent, but the bass drums lacked any presence. This isn't terrible, but in comparison to other speakers, it was a bit of a letdown. On a side note, I did notice that placing the speaker on some non porous surfaces, like concrete, yielded a better result.

As for the build of the speaker, it's top notch. it's sleek, durable to the point where I can just throw it in my bag and go, has great weight, and the IP rating is fantastic. Even in all of my tests, I had no problem with water. I also will add, unlike other speakers, the app really does add to the experience of the speaker. I was able to tweak a custom EQ to fit most of my needs. That typically is unlikely with a lot of speakers in this class.
To summarize, while I feel this will be a great speaker to take to the beach, or hanging out by the pool, I can't quite say that it is the party starter that it is advertised to be. Perhaps the megaboom would more fit that description, but I have yet to test that model.

It connects through Bluetooth, but it does have an auxiliary cable if preferred.

The headset hub has to be connected to a USB port on your system, then you connect the headset to the HUB. No controller connection is necessary.

Yes, it has a 3mm headphone jack output. Run that directly into the PCs audio input and you are good to go.

Do I have to get this in order to use my Alexa Echo to control my smart TV and lights? Or can the Alexa Echo control these things without the Harmony Home Hub.
if you are just looking to turn them on and off you could connect them each to a smart plug and Alexa can control them once connected. The lights can even be dimmed. If you are looking for full control of your TV, and it does not have Alexa built-in, the hub will be your best bet in order to make everything work coherently in sync.

So for one thing, I want to connect this to my TV. So I understand that it should work with a TV but will it connect to a fan? I already have a google home but I just need to make my TV and fan voice command
If it is a standard fan, you would just need to connect it to a smart plug. That plug can then be connected via voice command to your Harmony hub. Then you could control both with the hub.

Yes. I connected them to a mini-amplifier and the sound would easily fill a small room. Just be sure the amplifier can provide ample wattage. I believe these speakers can take up to 100W each.
